Seminar Description and Syllabus

The seminar covers current research in the area of Internet security.

Topics include, but are not limited to, for example:

  • Measurements of Internet security issues
  • Internet network protocol design, especially the evolution of security considerations
  • Analysis of deployment and abuse issues for Internet protocols, services, and applications

Goals

Students will learn how to analyze a research area in the areas of Internet security on their own, how to systematize the knowledge, and they will produce an overarching conclusive literature review report.

Prerequisites

Prior IT security knowledge is required. Only in exceptional circumstances and on written request only, we may waive the requirement.

Prior knowledge in network security and networking is required.
