Seminar Description and Syllabus
The seminar covers current research in the area of Software Security.
Topics include, but are not limited to, for example:
- Fuzzing and automated software testing
- Program analysis for software security
- Program repair
- Software defenses
- Vulnerability discovery and automatic exploitation
Goals
Students will learn how to analyze a research area in the areas of software security on their own, how to systematize the knowledge, and they will produce an overarching conclusive literature review report.
Prerequisites
Prior IT security knowledge is required. Only in exceptional circumstances and on written request only, we may waive the requirement.
Prior knowledge in software security and/or program analysis is required. For example, through the following courses:
- Program Analysis
- Software Security 1
- Software Security 2
- Advanced Automated Testing
